VALLEY OF OIL CITY, ACTIVITIES
Scottish Rite Masons, Venango Lodge of Perfection, 4th through 14th Degrees.
A fall Reunion for conferral of Degrees will be held on November
11, 2010. 4th and 14th Degrees will be conferred
On October 30, 2010 a One Day Masonic Journey will be held. An individual can
become a 32nd Degree Mason in One Day. Any one desiring information should
contact Membership Chairman Richard Palm at richpalm@zoominternet.net.
On November 7, 2009 the Valley of Oil City Celebrated their 100th Anniversary . A dinner was held at the Quality Inn in Franklin, Pa. . Present for the occasion was Ill. John Wm. McNaughton, 33 Sovereign Grand Commander and Ill. William L. McCarrier, 33, Deputy for Pennsylvania. The event was well attended. Chairman was Ronald A. Flick, 33, Thrice Potent Master.
CLOWNS: The Valley of Oil City has a clown unit, The Scottish Rite Masonic
Family Clowns, have been in existence for 4 years. During this period they have
participated in parades, visited at Nursing Homes, entertained at Blue Lodge
Activities, and provide entertainment for Valley Activities.
ABBOTT SCHOLARSHIPS: Applications are available from January 1st through April
1st of each year
Deadline for the Scholarship is April 1st of each year and to be in the hands of the Secretary.
Forms can be obtained and filled out on line, but must be printed and sent to
the Valley Secretary, P O Box 1044, Oil City,Pa. 16301 All information must be
in duplicate.
